In our YogaYama! classes, families get to spend fun quality time together, get exercise, and learn techniques to make life flow with a bit more ease.
Each class centers around one of ten original stories which take place in the fictional community called Mangrove Place. As the teacher tells the story, she leads the class through yoga poses and breath exercises, so that everyone feels like they are part of the story too!
Each story addresses one of the ten Yamas and Niyamas, which are the basic philosophical principles of yoga. They are: compassion, honesty, non-stealing, mindful focus, non-hoarding, cleanliness, contentment, perseverance, personal reflection, and humility.
These classes help children develop self-regulation, and inspire healthy habits and good communication for the whole family.
Ideal for children ages 4-10. All ages are welcome.
