Our Rope Walls

What are Rope Walls?

Rope yoga walls, invented by B.K.S. Iyengar, are an incredible tool for releasing chronic muscular tension and increasing awareness of our bodies in space (proprioception) and awareness of internal sensations (interoception).

“From steadiness comes ease”
Yoga Sutras of Patanjali II.46

Unlike aerial yoga, the ropes are attached to the wall, not suspended from the ceiling. The wall provides anchor points that stabilize the pose, enabling you to focus on your breath. A delightful sense of expansion arises when the body is steady and at ease in dynamic poses.
